Are you passionate and driven with a commitment to supporting children with additional needs? We are looking to develop a team of specialist support assistants and tutors to work with SENDCO's, curriculum leads and other support staff to deliver quality interventions to pupils out of school across the Oldham area.
You would be linked to a subject area in order to identify and develop an understanding of each young person's individual needs, engaging them fully in their learning with the view to reintegrate them back into mainstream or specialist education. The position will enable you to build positive relationships to motivate students, engage parents and raise students' aspirations in order to provide them with the best opportunities and outcomes.
The right candidate will:
- Have a passion for teaching and learning, understanding of SEND and the needs of vulnerable young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges.
- Support pupils' personal development, independence, and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour.
- Engage in relevant training and professional development.
