The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist provision in the Atherton area from September on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a small, supportive school setting that caters for students with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH. The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to small classes of students who require additional support.
- A strong focus on behaviour management, relationship building, and tailored learning approaches is essential.
- You’ll be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a leadership team that values collaboration and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support students with SEMH and additional needs to access the curriculum.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and leadership team.
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
- Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision (preferred).
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
