The Role

  • Deliver practical and theory-based Hair & Beauty sessions to small groups
  • Engage students through hands-on, vocational learning
  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression
  • Adapt lessons to suit a range of abilities and engagement levels
  • Manage behaviour effectively using a calm, consistent approach

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised qualification in Hair & Beauty (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE) or relevant teaching/training experience
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour or alternative provisions (desirable)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • A passion for vocational education and supporting vulnerable learners
