School Cleaners / School Kitchen Assistants

The Education Specialists is seeking a reliable and hardworking cleaners and kitchen assistants to join a friendly and well-organised schools across all areas of Liverpool.

This is a part-time, ongoing position, working afternoons Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm for cleaning and lunchtime hours for kitchen assistants 2-3.5 hours per day usually between 10am to 2.30pm.

The role offers a consistent routine and is ideal for individuals looking for work that fits around other commitments.

The school has a hygiene team and a strong focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.

School Kitchen Assiatant requirements

  • Assist with the preparation of food and beverages as directed by the Cook or Kitchen Manager.
  • Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Set up and replenish food service areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Clean kitchen work surfaces, dining areas, and food preparation equipment.
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times.
  • Store food correctly and rotate stock where required.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Dispose of waste safely and maintain a tidy working environment.
  • Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Kitchen Manager.
