The Education Specialists are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Trafford, committed to providing exceptional education and support to pupils aged 11-16. We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of our young people.

Long term Teaching Assistant position to start in February 2026. The position is full time Monday to Friday, on an ongoing basis and will be a permanent role for the right person.

This role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including ASD, PMLD, complex needs and SEMH. The school has provision for pupils aged 11-16 years old who have an education, health, and care plan (EHCP) that reflects their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, you will be fully committed and able to support the children individually to help them overcome their challenges and engage in learning, helping pupils to break down barriers to learning and achieve a positive outcome.

The school offers a creative curriculum, a very child-centred and nurturing approach, designed to meet each child’s individual needs, with a large focus on sports activities to help the children regulate their emotions.

We are looking for someone who has lots of empathy, a positive and energetic attitude, an interactive and engaging approach, and who can commit full time long term. You will be joining a warm, collaborative, welcoming and supportive team.
