The Education Specialists (TES) are delighted to be working with a welcoming and well-established one-form-entry primary school in Birkenhead, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave from after the October half-term.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit school community where staff work collaboratively to provide a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils.

The school is looking for a teacher who can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils, deliver engaging lessons and become a valued member of the school team for the duration of the maternity cover.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a primary class, planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all pupils and supporting their academic and personal development.

The successful teacher will:

  • Deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Plan and differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain high expectations
  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies
  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Both experienced teachers and ECTs with suitable primary school experience are encouraged to apply.
