Roman Road Primary School (E6 3SQ) is seeking an Associate Teacher (Supply) for the academic Year 2026/27. We are looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our school as an Associate Teacher (Supply). This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking flexible working arrangements, including:

  • A retired teacher wishing to remain involved in education.
  • A teacher returning to the profession after a career break.
  • A teacher seeking part-time employment.
  • An experienced practitioner looking for a flexible role within a supportive school community.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • One regular day of teaching each week (to be agreed).
  • Additional ad hoc cover for staff absence and other short-term requirements.
  • Occasional pre-arranged cover where advance notice can be given.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has strong classroom management skills.
  • Is adaptable, reliable and able to work across different classes and year groups.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
