A supportive and welcoming primary special school in South Birmingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and communication impairments.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with complex learning needs in class, in small groups, and on a 1-2-1 basis.
- Assisting with differentiated learning and adapting resources to suit individual needs.
- Helping pupils with communication, social development, and emotional regulation.
- Providing personal care where required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet the needs of pupils.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
