Part-Time Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision
Location: Gateshead
Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM

We’re recruiting on behalf of a brand-new Alternative Provision in Gateshead, a unique setting where education meets creativity. This provision supports 11–16-year-olds who need something different from mainstream school. It’s a calm, engaging space where learners can rebuild confidence, express themselves, and thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role
- Deliver high-quality, part-time education in small group settings
- Support learners through bespoke timetables tailored to individual needs
- Focus on creative expression, emotional growth, and confidence building
- Work collaboratively with a nurturing team in a safe and inclusive space
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND or SEMH needs
- A creative or therapeutic approach to education
