Sports Coach (Alternative Provision) – Part-Time (10am–2pm)
Location: South Tyneside
Hours: 10:00am – 2:00pm

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Sports Coach to work within a supportive Alternative Provision setting. This flexible role is ideal for those who are passionate about working with young people who require additional support outside mainstream education.
You’ll support students with English and Maths in the mornings, followed by leading sports sessions, with a particular emphasis on football.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging sports activities (12pm–2pm), with a focus on football.
  • Support students with English and Maths (10am–12pm), often in small groups or 1:1.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students who may have additional needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Work flexibly as part of a dedicated and passionate team.

You’ll Need:

  • Experience coaching football or other sports
  • Experience working with young people, especially in PRUs, SEN schools, or alternative provisions.
  • Confidence in supporting basic English and Maths.
  • Good behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a passion for youth development.
