We are currently recruiting teachers or tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition to secondary‑age students who have been educated at home, primarily due to mental health and anxiety needs. The role will be based full‑time in South Tyneside, delivering structured, supportive tuition in a calm community setting.

The role:

  • Deliver 1 hour of 1:1 tuition per student
  • Support up to 6 students per day
  • Work with young people experiencing anxiety, mental health needs, or barriers to mainstream education
  • Provide a nurturing, flexible and trauma‑informed approach
  • Work alongside professionals to support re‑engagement with learning

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher, tutor, or experienced educator
  • Has experience working with SEMH, anxiety, or medically educated students
  • Is calm, patient and confident delivering 1:1 support
  • Understands safeguarding and child‑centred practice
  • Can commit to full‑day, long‑term work
