This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teacher who is passionate about supporting older students to develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills alongside their academic learning. As a SEND Teacher, you will be teaching a small Key Stage 4 class, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs and preparing students for their next steps. You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a leadership team that values teamwork and staff wellbeing.
Job Role:- Teaching a Key Stage 4 SEND class, delivering a personalised and accessible curriculum
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Supporting students with communication, social development, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide consistent classroom support
- Managing behaviour positively and building strong, respectful relationships with students
- Contributing to reviews, assessments, and individual education plans
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching students with SEND, ideally at secondary or Key Stage 4 level
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs
- A flexible and creative approach to teaching and learning
