The Education Network is currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate SEMH Teacher to work in a specialist provision supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about making a difference and supporting pupils who require a nurturing and structured approach to learning.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons across the curriculum
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs to develop social and emotional resilience
- Managing behaviour effectively using positive strategies and restorative approaches
- Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies
- Tracking and assessing pupil progress to ensure individual learning goals are met
About You / Qualifications
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs
- Is patient, resilient, and empathetic, with strong classroom management skills
- Is confident in differentiating lessons to meet varied learning needs
- Has a good understanding of trauma-informed and inclusive teaching practices
