Are you an EYFS Teaching Assistant prospect looking to gain hands‑on experience before teacher training? Could you support children through purposeful play, early phonics and number work across the EYFS curriculum?

• Immediate start until July 2026
• £80 – £90 per day
• \’Good\’ primary school, Wolverhampton
• Support across the EYFS curriculum

The Role

You’ll work with the class teacher to deliver high‑quality EYFS provision. You’ll set up continuous provision, run small‑group activities, and provide focused 1:1 support. You’ll model routines, encourage language development, and keep brief observation notes to inform next steps.

The Candidate

You’re a graduate with a warm, consistent approach and clear communication. You can follow guidance, use initiative, and engage young children through structured play. You’re organised, reliable, and keen to develop towards teacher training.

Requirements

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in EYFS and early child development.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (nursery, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
