This specialist school supports children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are well-supported, engaged and able to thrive. As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school. You will work closely with a dynamic and supportive Headteacher to drive high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour, while ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed. This role requires previous experience working within a SEND school. It is suitable for an experienced Deputy Headteacher or an Assistant Headteacher who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the strategic leadership and daily running of the school
  • Driving high standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress
  • Leading on key areas of school improvement
  • Supporting and developing teaching and support staff
  • Ensuring high-quality provision for pupils with ASC, MLD and SEMH needs

  • Supporting behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
