Our client secondary school in Durham requires a committed, creative and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher to join their Design Technology department to teach Resistant Materials. The successful applicant will be confident to teach Resistant Materials to Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Resistant Materials and having a good knowledge of Graphics would also be beneficial. You will be self-motivated, committed to lifelong learning and an excellent role model for learners. You will join a friendly and welcoming faculty which is forward thinking, innovative, successful and passionate about teaching.

The school has few behavioural issues but as with all schools you will need confidence and presence within the classroom. The school offers excellent support and some of the best facilities around within a welcoming environment. Focusing heavily on staff induction, training and development, the school carries out annual reviews of the staffing structure in order to match changing needs and to provide development opportunities for aspiring leaders.

Applications are invited from experienced teachers, or those having successfully completed their NQT year, for whom excellent facilities and support exist. Qualified Teacher Status is ESSENTIAL for employment. Applicants without QTS will not be considered.
