A specialist educational setting in Cramlington is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs. The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage positively in learning and develop confidence both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
- Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
- Encouraging pupil independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Supporting the implementation of individual learning plans
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
