Responsibilities

  • Teaching a small Year 6 class within a special needs setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the curriculum
  • Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally
  • Preparing pupils for transition to secondary education
  • Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP targets

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential)
