We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented School Data Officer to manage and optimise this school’s data systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting both administrative and academic teams by ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Maintain, update, and validate student, staff, and curriculum data across our school’s information management systems. Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot discrepancies, and prepare data reports for compliance and reporting requirements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate accurate reports, data summaries, and statistical analysis for internal and external stakeholders. Regularly assess and evaluate data trends to support decision‑making processes.
- Exam Administration Support: Assist in setting up and managing exam and assessment data, including coordinating with academic departments to ensure all exam entries are accurate and completed on time.
- Compliance & Data Protection: Ensure that all data activities comply with GDPR and other data protection regulations. Monitor data handling procedures to maintain confidentiality and security standards.
- Systems Development & Training: Work with IT teams to enhance data systems, support software updates, and develop best practices for data handling. Provide training and support for staff using the data systems.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a data administration role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong skills in data management software (e.g., SIMS, Excel) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
