A good SEND school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced School IT Technician to join their team and support the day‑to‑day running of the school’s IT systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a School IT Technician with previous school‑based experience who wants to work in a well‑resourced environment with excellent facilities. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and places a strong emphasis on creating a safe, accessible and inclusive learning environment. As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring technology is reliable and effectively supports both teaching and learning across the school.
Job Role
- Providing first‑line and second‑line IT support to staff and students
- Maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software and network systems
- Supporting classroom technology including interactive boards, laptops and tablets
- Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls
- Assisting with the installation and rollout of new hardware and software
- Ensuring IT systems comply with safeguarding and data protection requirements
- Working closely with external IT providers where required
You Will Need
- Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and school networks
- Experience supporting classroom‑based technology
