The Education Network are seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Bradford. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require tailored support to thrive both academically and socially.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and SEMH
  • Support pupils who have EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing life skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (school-based or other settings)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND, Team Teach) are desirable but not essential
