We’re working with a supportive specialist setting in Gateshead seeking a SEND Teacher for the Summer Term. This is a part‑time role with flexibility around hours, ideal for someone who values building strong relationships and delivering personalised learning. You’ll be working with secondary and post‑16 learners with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties, in a calm and structured environment.

The role

- Potential to deliver subjects like employability, IT, or preparation for adulthood (depending on experience)
What we’re looking for
- Experience working with SEND learners
- Confident delivering individualised teaching
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- QTS/QTLS (preferred but not essential)
- Comfortable working within a faith‑based school environment
Working pattern
- Monday to Thursday
- Afternoons preferred (flexibility available)
- Option for 4 full days for the right candidate
