Do you have previous experience supporting students education who may be struggling attending school, but you need a part time role to fit in with childcare/another role/studies/family commitments? Here at The Education Network Warrington, we are looking to build upon our current bank of approx. 70 + face to face 1-1 Tutors in the Widnes area. We have been teaming up with passionate Teachers, Tutors and support staff since 1993. Our vision is to provide a holistic approach to the learning needs of students who are having difficulties accessing education. Our specialist Tutors work tirelessly to engage students, some with mild to complex SEMH/SEN. Their aim is to help students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and re focus them to get back on track with their education. At present, we have a high demand for 1-1 Tutors who have experience of delivering core subject areas across key stages, KS2 – KS4 (All key stages/subjects are not essential) Most students are KS3+, but at times working at a lower ability. Any additional subject knowledge is always a welcome addition such as functional skills. Tutors that have a background in psychology/mindfulness and specific SEN expertise are invaluable also. Many of the young people we support on a 1-1 basis have mild and moderate SEMH needs and or/SEN and varying reasons for not attending school. Many are disengaged, having not attended school for some time and may have certain emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible & non judge mental approach, who take the time to get to know each individual student they support to build trust & genuinely thrive from making a difference. FAQ's * What's the pay? We pay £30 per hour on a weekly basis via PAYE – no umbrella companies. * How long are the sessions? All sessions are usually 1-2hrs dependent on the needs of the student. * What if a student doesn't attend? All sessions are paid to you in full in student fails to attend/has appointments/holidays etc. * Can I pick and choose my hours? Yes – most Tutors can only work part time, so we will devise a timetable to suit your specific availability. All sessions are held throughout the school day (no after school/evenings/wk ends) If this role sounds of interest, we'd love to hear from you.
