We are currently working with a specialist provision to recruit a Teacher for a PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) maternity cover role starting in September. This is an agency placement within a supportive and well-resourced setting.
About the Role
You will be responsible for a small group of 3 pupils aged approximately 5 to 15 years. The role involves delivering highly individualised, sensory-based learning tailored to complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated learning for pupils with PMLD
- Lead a small team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Work closely with external professionals including therapists and specialist teachers
- Support pupils' EHCP targets and overall development
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Working Pattern
Monday to Thursday Full-day commitment Maternity cover from September
Requirements
- Experience working with PMLD or complex needs
- Confident leading support staff within the classroom
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively with multi-agency professionals
- QTS/QTLS or equivalent (preferred)
