We are currently recruiting a SEND Teacher for a part-time agency role in a supportive school in Gateshead for the Summer Term. This role involves working with secondary and post-16 pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and general learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 teaching sessions (30 minutes each)
  • Teach Entry Level / Functional Skills English or Key Stage 2 curriculum adapted for older learners
  • Support pupils' academic progress and personal development
  • Potential to deliver additional subjects such as employability, preparation for adulthood, or IT, depending on experience

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday (afternoons preferred)
  • Option of 4 full days available

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEND pupils
  • Confident delivering 1:1 teaching
  • Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships
  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent (preferred)
  • Comfortable working within a religious school setting
