About the Role:
We are a specialist education recruitment agency working closely with SEN schools across the North East, and we are currently recruiting qualified SEN Teachers for both ad-hoc (supply) and long-term positions. You will be working with pupils in EYFS-KS4 within specialist SEN settings, supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping them access a tailored and inclusive curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in SEN schools or specialist provisions (essential or strong preference)
- Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through the agency)
