The Education Network are currently recruiting for two reliable and hardworking Facilities Operatives to support the maintenance and upkeep of school premises across sites in Newcastle. This is a full‑time, 5‑day per week role offering the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Support the day‑to‑day maintenance of school buildings and grounds
- Carry out basic repairs, maintenance and site checks
- Ensure school premises remain safe, clean and secure
- Assist with health and safety procedures across sites
- Travel between two sites in Newcastle and one site in Sunderland
Requirements
- Previous caretaking, facilities or maintenance experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle and a full UK driving licence
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
- Good understanding of general maintenance and site duties
- Enhanced DBS on the update service desirable, or willingness to obtain one
