Position 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant – Newcastle Upon Tyne. Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑3:30pm, Term Time Only.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships.
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Encourage engagement in learning and school activities.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
- Background in education, support work, youth work, care, coaching, or mentoring desirable.
- Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
