About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a college-based team in Durham on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to take responsibility for the delivery of Occupational Health services within an educational setting. As this is a standalone Occupational Health position, the successful candidate will need to be confident working autonomously, using their professional knowledge and experience to provide an effective Occupational Health service from day one.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor with previous experience in an Occupational Health setting.
  • A recognised Occupational Health Nursing qualification.
  • Current Registered Nurse status.
  • Previous experience working in an Occupational Health Advisor/Nurse capacity.
  • The ability to work independently and manage an Occupational Health function autonomously.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • The confidence and experience to make professional judgements and provide appropriate advice within an Occupational Health setting.
  • Experience outside of the NHS is welcomed, although NHS Occupational Health experience will also be considered.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, with the working timetable to be discussed and agreed at interview. Start: ASAP, subject to notice period.
