Our partnering trauma-informed school in Northumberland is seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in nurturing environments and believes in relationship-based practice. You will be joining a supportive, highly skilled staff team who place pupil wellbeing and emotional development at the heart of everything they do.

Role Overview

  • Deliver personalised and engaging lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Use trauma-informed, attachment-aware approaches in the classroom
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and provide consistent emotional support
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and school leaders
  • Create a safe, stable and predictable environment to help pupils regulate and succeed

We’re Looking For

  • QTS (essential)
  • Experience working in SEMH, PRU or trauma-informed settings (desirable)
  • A nurturing, patient and reflective teaching style
  • Strong communication and behaviour-regulation skills
  • Someone who is resilient, adaptable and able to meet a wide range of needs
