Job Description

Location: NewcastleRole Type: 5 days Part Time hours, 27.5 hours per week Are you someone who thrives on challenge, connection, and purpose? Do you have experience in roles like youth work, care, coaching, customer service, or education — and want to use those skills to support young people who need a fresh start?We’re looking for compassionate, resilient, and adaptable individuals to join our Behaviour Support Unit, working with students who have often been excluded from mainstream education. Many of our learners have ADHD or other additional needs, and they deserve adults who believe in their potential.What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Building trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or rejection
  • Supporting behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping students re-engage with learning through tailored support and structure
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a safe and consistent environment

What We’re Looking For: You don’t need to have worked in a school before — we value life experience, emotional intelligence, and a calm, confident approach. You might have worked in:

  • Youth work or mentoring
  • Social care or support work
  • Sports coaching or community outreach
  • Customer service or hospitality (yes, really — people skills matter!)
