Cover Supervisor - General Cover

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8:30am - 3:00pm

Start Date: ASAP

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to provide general cover across a range of subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and can maintain a calm, structured learning environment.

The Role

  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning and that behaviour expectations are consistently upheld.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising lessons using pre-set work across multiple subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting pupils to stay focused and on task
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
  • Working collaboratively with support staff to maintain a safe environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people (education or youth setting)
  • Is confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour
  • Is calm, organised, and adaptable
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion
