We are currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to work in a specialist school in the Morpeth area. This role is ideal for teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD and SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with SEN
  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet individual needs
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams
  • Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policies

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ASD, or SEMH (desirable)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs
