We are currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to work in a specialist school in the Morpeth area. This role is ideal for teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD and SEMH.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with SEN
- Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and leadership teams
- Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policies
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ASD, or SEMH (desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs
