Temporary SEN English Teacher - 4 Days per Week

Start: ASAP

Duration: ASAP - July

Location: Gateshead

Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday

Role Overview:

  • Delivering Entry Level and Functional Skills English
  • Working with pupils with ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Supporting learners working at a lower academic level
  • Teaching within a small-group, specialist setting

Requirements:

  • Strong experience supporting SEN learners
  • Confident teaching Entry Level / Functional Skills English
  • Flexible, calm and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work respectfully within a religious community setting

Desirable:

  • Background in SEN schools, alternative provision or specialist settings
  • QTS advantageous but not essential
