On behalf of our client, we are seeking a committed and compassionate Design Technology Teacher with strong SEN experience to join a supportive and forward-thinking provision in South Tyneside. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact, teaching small cohorts of KS3 and KS4 students with additional needs. The role requires a practitioner who can adapt learning, build positive relationships, and create a safe, engaging environment where every pupil can thrive.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons tailored to meet a range of SEN needs
  • Teach small class groups, allowing for a more personalised and nurturing approach
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development alongside academic progress
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of support staff and leadership
  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Anticipated to run until the end of the summer term

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have proven experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a child-centred approach
  • Be confident in differentiating lessons to meet individual needs
