Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the resilience and dedication to support students with social, emotional mental health needs? We are recruiting a behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in a SEMH provision, supporting students who require additional guidance to engage with learning. This is a full-time, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30, the role is anticipated to last until the end of the academic year.
The Role
- Supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with lessons and develop positive coping strategies.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to create a structured and supportive environment.
- Using de-escalation techniques and a positive approach to behaviour management.
- Building strong relationships with students to help them achieve their potential.
Requirements
- A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential for this role.
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people.
