Our agency is recruiting on behalf of a trauma-informed school with attached alternative provision, offering bespoke academic and therapeutic support for students with SEN, SEMH needs, or disrupted education. We welcome applications from teachers across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, arts, humanities, PE, technology, and PSHE/RSE. Separate adverts are live for English and Maths specialists, but all subject experts with the right experience are encouraged to apply.
About the Role:
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching tailored to each student’s individual needs.
- Support learners who may be reluctant, vulnerable, or have experienced educational disruption, using creative, engaging, and trauma-informed strategies to build confidence, trust, and motivation.
- Deliver a broad, personalised curriculum that supports academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Differentiating learning and adapting teaching approaches for a wide range of abilities.
- Create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
- Work closely with colleagues to implement bespoke learning pathways aligned with the school curriculum.
- Supervise and collaborate with teaching assistants as needed.
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have at least 3 years’ experience working with children with SEN or challenging behaviours.
- Are confident in behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches.
- Prioritise safeguarding and respond effectively to incidents.
- Are collaborative, organised, and committed to supporting a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Promote equality, diversity, and student wellbeing.
