Overview
1:1 Tutor of Maths & English We\\\βre looking for Teachers, HLTAs or experienced Tutors to work on a one-to-one basis with students who are receiving education outside of a traditional school environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tailoring learning to individual needs and making a real difference to young people who need additional support with Maths and English.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions in Maths and/or English
- Support students who may be out of school for a range of reasons (for example, SEMH, anxiety, medical needs)
- Create a safe and encouraging learning environment
- Plan sessions based on each learner\\\βs needs and ability
- Sessions may take place in community settings or in the student\\\βs home (with safeguarding and safety always prioritised)
What we\\\βre looking for
- QTS, HLTA status, or strong tutoring experience
- Confident teaching Maths and English from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4
- A calm, flexible and supportive approach
- Someone who can build positive relationships with learners
