The Education Network is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Bradford. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Working one-to-one or with small groups to support learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or alternative settings)
- Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to supporting pupils’ individual needs and progress
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
