You will provide a combination of classroom, small-group and individual support, working alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals to help pupils access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

Experience working with pupils with SEND is highly desirable, particularly within a special school, specialist provision or similar setting. However, we are also keen to hear from strong mainstream Teaching Assistants who have a genuine interest in developing their SEND experience.

Job Role:

  • Work 1-2-1 and with small groups where required
  • Support pupils to access learning and classroom activities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers and specialist SEND staff
  • Adapt your approach to meet individual needs
  • Contribute to a safe, calm and positive learning environment

In return, you will enjoy:

  • A rewarding SEND Teaching Assistant role within a specialist setting
  • The opportunity to develop your specialist SEND experience
  • Small-group and 1-2-1 support experience
  • Support from experienced teachers and SEND professionals
  • A school where your work can make a genuine difference
  • Ongoing support from The Education Network
