Are you a resilient and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting young people who face barriers to learning? Do you have experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours? This alternative provision is looking to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Mentor to support Key Stage 4 male students in a structured and supportive environment.

As a Pastoral Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom. You will provide 1-2-1 mentoring, help manage behaviour and be on call to support staff and students during lessons when required. You will build strong, positive relationships with students, helping them to regulate their behaviour, stay engaged with learning and work towards positive outcomes. This is a rewarding and hands-on role that requires patience, resilience and confidence working with students who may have had a negative experience of education.
