The Role:You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Design Technology lessons with a focus on Resistant Materials. The timetable covers Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach a range of projects that inspire creativity and technical skills. You’ll work closely with a supportive department that values collaboration and innovation.Your duties will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons
- Preparing students for GCSE assessments
- Managing a well-equipped workshop environment
- Tracking student progress and providing feedback
- Supporting wider department activities and enrichment opportunities
The Candidate:The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs are encouraged to apply
- Have a specialism in Resistant Materials within Design Technology
- Be confident in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Be passionate about hands-on learning and creative design
- Show strong classroom management and organisational skills
