This specialist school in South Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Active Citizenship Instructor to support students with additional learning needs in a highly supportive environment.

As an Active Citizenship Instructor, you will deliver engaging sessions that focus on life skills, personal development and preparing students for life beyond school. You will work with small groups of pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them develop independence, social skills and an understanding of the wider community. This may include supporting students with travel training, community-based learning and practical life skills.

You will work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure students are fully supported and able to access meaningful and enriching experiences. This is a rewarding role suited to someone who is proactive, patient and passionate about helping young people achieve their potential. This role requires previous experience delivering the Active Citizenship curriculum.

  • Delivering Active Citizenship and life skills sessions to students with additional learning needs
