Assistant Headteacher – Interim – Complex Needs – Solihull Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher with a strong background in special education? This exceptional complex needs special school is seeking an Interim Assistant Headteacher to join its senior leadership team and provide expertise, stability, and direction during a key period of transition. As Assistant Headteacher, you will be supporting the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school, working closely with an experienced team of teachers and TA’s. The successful candidate will bring proven leadership experience within a special school environment and a deep understanding of supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism, PMLD, and complex medical or communication needs. You will be joining a collaborative leadership team that places pupil progress, well-being, and inclusion at the heart of everything they do. This role requires an Assistant Headteacher with previous leadership experience in a SEND setting. Job Role: Managing part of the schools’ complex needs provision ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. Line managing staff, supporting professional development, and promoting a culture of excellence. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to drive school improvement and raise outcomes for all pupils. Overseeing curriculum development, assessment, and interventions for pupils with complex needs. Supporting the school’s safeguarding, welfare, and pastoral systems.
