The Educational Equality Institute, an NGO based in Norway committed to educating and thereby empowering disadvantaged girls. In response to the war in Ukraine, we started the project: “Together for Ukraine”. Free educational programs where we, together with our partners, will help 100,000 Ukrainians shape their future through education, upskilling, and employment.
We are looking for a volunteer English Language Teacher to join our Educational team at TEEI. As a language teacher, you will help to enhance the language skills of our students.
Role Scope
- Developing lesson plans and materials to teach basic language skills to students.
- Conducting online or in-person language classes for students.
- Evaluating students' progress and providing feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborating with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies.
- Providing support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals.
- Participating in training sessions and workshops provided by TEEI to enhance your teaching skills.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners.
- Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multicultural team.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education.
- Fluent in English.
- Having a language teaching certificate is highly valued.
