The Edinburg Center is seeking a full-time Clinician to work in our Opportunities - Psychiatric Day Treatment Program (PDT).
What You Will Do: The Clinician will work with people who experience mental health concerns and people with a Dual Diagnosis of Psychiatric and Intellectual Disabilities and Dual Diagnosis with Substance Abuse concerns. Primary responsibilities include:
- Treatment coordinator for a specific caseload, including weekly notes; treatment coordinator meetings with individuals and developing Individual Action Plans (IAP) with individuals
- Leadership role in contextual rehabilitation skills training and curriculum delivery in the pre-vocational center
- Leadership/developer of skills curriculum
- Facilitator of therapy groups
- Support role in The Resource, Educational & Wellness Center
- Liaison to vocational programs and clubhouses and facilitation of client movement into these programs
Who You Are: MA/MS and 1 year of experience working with persons with mental illness required. Clinician has earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Education with a Clinical Concentration (or related field). Experience in virtual delivery of therapeutic services highly preferred. Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, social competency, day treatment, familiarity with the MSDP form set, and vocational referrals preferred. Basic computer skills - MS Word, Outlook preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Valid MA driver’s license required.
