Well established specialist, high quality, electronic manufacturing business, operates across a number of sectors including Medical, Aerospace, Marine and CleanTech where they provide Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Commercial and industrial battery storage, Energy Management Systems (EMS) as well as residential battery storage.

They’re now searching for a driven Business Development Manager with a true hunter mentality, someone who thrives on opening doors, creating new relationships, and winning business in a fast growing, competitive market. Supported by a very capable account management team, this is a field based role with full autonomy across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across a range of organisations including car.
  • Build strong, long term relationships through a consultative and solution led approach.
  • Present and position the company’s battery energy storage solutions to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver accurate, scalable solutions.

The ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in business development, particularly in a hunter role.
  • Background in battery storage, CleanTech or energy is preferred.
  • Exceptional relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, ambitious approach with the drive to win new business.
  • Comfortable with a field-based role and regular travel across the UK.
  • A genuine passion for CleanTech, battery storage and sustainable technology.
