We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiastic CDP, with high standards and a true passion for great food and people, to join our fantastic pub! This could be your first step up from a Commi chef role or your next challenge as a current CDP. Supporting the Head & Sous Chef in the running of the kitchen operations, delivering a consistent high food quality. You will work alongside the kitchen team in the organising, growing and day-to-day operations of your kitchen. Having a real say in the food of which you serve whether that be on the next menu or daily specials boards. Only using the best suppliers in a well-equipped kitchen all alongside a real work life balance! This role is ideal for an ambitious chef looking for a career within the group with a real opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and forging excellent relationships with suppliers
  • Supervise stock control and menu specs
  • Overall daily responsibility for the daily kitchen operations, including training of junior chefs
  • Foster a culture of camaraderie and respect between all team members
  • Ensure that the kitchen complies with all health and safety, due diligence, food safety and hygiene standards
  • Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is maintained and used in a safe and correct manner
  • Deliver a consistent level of service in a clean and professional environment

Qualifications and Key Attributes:

  • Working proficiency in English is essential
  • Previous experience in Commi role or higher
  • Positive, can-do mentality
