About the role
Hankham Primary School is a small rural primary school set in the idyllic hamlet of Hankham, which lies between Eastbourne and Hailsham. Visitors to our school regularly comment on its beautiful setting.
Our pupils are caring and well behaved. Our staff team is small and supportive of each other, and of the school’s values. Being a small school allows us to really get to know our pupils and the school has a "family feel".
We are seeking an after school club coordinator to run and manage our after school provision. You will be responsible for organising fun, high qualify play provision for our pupils, promoting learning through play and managing a small team of club playworkers.
We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude, who can use their own initiative and work as part of a team. You will need a good rapport with children and the ability to communicate with them clearly and calmly.
The successful candidate will:
-
Have a good level of ICT skills to manage the bookings and registers via our parent portal
-
Be dedicated to providing a secure and inspiring learning environment where children can thrive
-
Be effective in establishing positive, professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents
-
Plan varied and engaging activities for the children
-
Be responsible for all food hygiene and safety aspects of the club including safeguarding and first aid, reporting back to Senior Leadership as necessary (training will be given)
