Job Overview: The Earthshot Prize is hiring a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer with a wide range of skills and experiences to sit in the Storytelling team. We are looking for a designer with experience across a range of mediums to support the business – their work will be seen across social media, events, OOH, press, broadcast and more. Working with the existing brand guidelines and acting as a brand guardian, they will ensure that we only ever put our best foot forward visually. They will have opportunities to create original content and brainstorm ideas with a brilliant team, as well as working to clear briefs and delivering content on time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Guardianship: You will become the ultimate champion for The Earthshot Prize’s brand, with a clear and established understanding of our visual identity, you will be responsible for ensuring all internally and externally communicated designed materials are in line with set guidelines.
- Social Content: Interpret briefs from the social media team and collaborate internally to design eye-catching static content. Ensure all static media, including thumbnails and other supportive assets, adhere to brand guidelines and enhance overall engagement. Work within existing Figma templates while also suggesting improvements or additions to enhance content quality. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of content specifications and best practices across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Designing new responsive pieces in line with current trends and new, exciting ideas from yourself and from the team.
- Internal Media: Working with various teams across the organisation to perfect presentation decks for different business purposes. Also working on various reports, and other digital assets such as email signatures and media packs that meet internal communication needs.
- OOH, Press & Advertising: Work with varied specs on international OOH opportunities – eg billboards, roadside flags, venue and car wraps, etc. Create assets for press, talent and creators to use across their channels – graphics, quotes, headshots, etc that will help spread the word of the Prize. Create content for any ad-hoc advertising opps, from broadcast graphics to newspaper spreads and more.
- Events Content: Working closely with the events team on major moments throughout the year, designing all event materials from invitation design to event signage and presentation screen content.
Candidate Criteria:
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Must be fluent in Figma, where we predominantly work as a team.
- Confident designing editable templates in PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working with Google Sheets to track status of work.
- Experienced working in Microsoft (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) for cross-team collaboration.
- Strong understanding of different formats for social media (e.g. news trends, subtitling needs, platform specific specs, etc).
- Excited by and proactive with bringing forward ideas you’ve seen on social and elsewhere.
- Ability to work within existing templates while also contributing creative ideas for improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Confident working on diverse projects as outlined above – from social media content to print and internal communications.
